Savannah- Veronica Campbell Nugent, 79, died Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at Hospice House.

Mrs. Nugent was born in Jamaica and moved to the United States during the 60's where she made a new life for herself and her children. She worked for many years as a surgical nurse in New York City before retiring and moving to Savannah in 2004. She was a member of In God We Trust Ministries. She was loved very much and will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include three sons, Donald Nugent, Branford Nugent, Calvin Nugent; two daughters, Dawn Taylor, Gloria Miller; brother, Winston Campbell; sister, Susan Campbell; twenty grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren.

Visitation: 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday, January 25, 2010 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel.

Funeral Service: 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at the Islands Chapel of Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors.

Burial: Greenwich Section of Bonaventure Cemetery.
